arsenal news

Well Gooners another fantastic result for us. Well done to everybody.

Szczesny – Nothing much to do .

Sagna– Continuing his good form even after his suspension. Was tidy at the back and great going forward with some brilliant crosses and link up play with Theo. – 8

Djourou – Good on the ball. Never had any problems at the back except for the instance when Di Santo got a header. – 7

Kosher– Same as Dj. However was every good with at winning possession at the middle of the park today be it ground or aerial balls. – 7

Clichy– Tidy play at the back. Won the ball brilliantly on numerous occasions. Kept Nzogbia tamed. – 8

Song– Great performance from the Cameroonian. Great on the ball both attacking and defensively. Great pass for the first goal. Brilliantly picked out Cesc which led to the Penalty. – 8

Wilshere– Tidy and neat . Good on the ball. Made some brilliant runs and kept feeding the forward line. Increased Arsenal’s momentum when they looked a bit casual at the beginning of the second half. – 7

Fabregas– Fantastic passing. Brilliant ball for our second. He was in the centre of every attack. Won the penalty as well. Seriously deserved a goal today. Keep it up Le Capitan . – 8.5

Nasri– Kept the midfield ticking. Great on the ball as always. Tracked back when needed to and was a constant channel for Arsenal’s attack. Should have got a goal. – 7.5

Theo– Great commitment shown by the Englishman today. Kept running and chasing down his wing, a constant threat to the Wigan defence. Put some great crosses in as well which is good to see. Provided the assist for the our third. – 7.5

RVP – Well, he missed a penalty ( it happens to the best of footballers) , hit the post and scored a hat-trick. We are delighted he is back (touchwood ) and leading the front line. – 9

Substitutes :

Denilson– On for Cesc. Made a brilliant tackle in whatever time he got to play.

Arshavin– N/A. On for Nasri.

Chamakh– N/A On for RVP

Crowd – 6 -Seriously be Louder. Your not a bunch of fat cats going for a cricket match, and I bet you all pay probably the highest ticket prices!

Its so weird that Wenger ahs given the fans a team that plays great football yet even with 60,000 there very little passion, shouting or singing its like they are above it or something I’ll never figure it out????

    Good win keep it going

It was a baptism! Thats what I like to see from our team, the passing was incredible, it was like clockwork, I hope we can keep this up, we really miss Van Persie when he’s not fit

The persistent criticism of the Emirates’ crowd is NOT their quietness.
It is the frustration, bordering on outrage, that emanates from the terraces when, after Arsenal go a goal up, there is a delay before a second goal. I’m sure it doesn’t help the team as a whole and to direct anger towards individuals is just plain ignorance. What happened to “1nil to the Arsenal”?
The answer is SUPPORT THE TEAM AND THE GOALS WILL COME.

Brilliant today, great to watch and I do agree, if we roused the team with positive singing we`d get even more goals. RVP was asking for more support and we gave it….. for 10 seconds !!!

overrated for walcott, how many times he need to create or score a goal? 10? or 15? I feel he deserve a mere 5 for this performance if not for the third goal he involved, he should get a 2. Aimless running and passing.

Song deserve even more because he is the most consistant of the lot, and i feel he was instructed to defend in the last few games, and i don’t hear anymore complain about him going forward too often now.

We still have NOT proven that:

    1) we can break down a defense where we canNOT pass, such as when ManShitty came to ASHBURTON GROVE (not f88king emircrap!), or
    2) when we were at ManUre, who were tactically better in dealing with breaking up our passing or
    3) when we need to be in a defensive hold, such as when the Scum came to visit.

When we can do these three things well, we can win the title.

    Good progress today, however.
