Tottenham Facing Injury Crisis As 6 Players Are Ruled Out Of Barcelona Clash

Tottenham are facing a mounting injury crisis as they’ll be without six first team squad players for Wednesday night’s Champions League clash with Barcelona.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men welcome Barca to Wembley tomorrow evening for their second group stage game but the north Londoners will once again be without Christian Eriksen. The Danish international has missed the last two matches due to a stomach problem and Spurs have confirmed he won’t recover in time to face the Catalans.
Dele Alli hasn’t featured for Tottenham since picking up a hamstring injury while away with the England squad during the last international break and he’s been ruled out after suffering a setback following his run out in the League Cup last week.
In a further blow, Jan Vertonghen has been ruled out for at least the next two game after being forced off at half-time against Huddersfield at the weekend with a hamstring injury so Pochettino will be without one of his key defenders against Barcelona.
Mousa Dembele was also substituted at half-time at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday due to a thigh injury and Tottenham have confirmed the Belgian international won’t be fit to take on the La Liga champions.
Serge Aurier missed the 2-0 win at Huddersfield due to a thigh injury and the right-back remains on the sidelines while Michel Vorm is also still working his way back to fitness from a knee problem meaning Spurs will be without six players tomorrow night.
None of them are expected to be fit until after the next international break so they will also miss the Premier League game against Cardiff City this weekend but there was some better news on Hugo Lloris.
The Frenchman hasn’t featured since late August due to a thigh injury but he’s back in full training and will be available for selection against Barca which will be a huge boost for Pochettino.
