Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has scored a stunning goal for Egypt today having found the back of the net against Swaziland directly from a corner.
The 26-year-old has endured a tough start to the new campaign as he’s failed to replicate the kind of form that saw him tear-up the Premier League last season and land the PFA Player of the Year Award.
Salah has managed to score just three goals in his 11 matches in all competitions so far and has produced some frustrating performances for Liverpool in recent weeks with the attacker missing a number of chances that you’d have expected him to finish.
It’s led to speculation that Salah may be lacking in confidence and is letting the weight of expectation get to him after plundering 44 goals in all competitions for the Merseysiders last season.
However, Salah has bagged himself a morale-boosting goal on international duty today as he’s scored a stunning effort straight from a corner during Egypt’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Swaziland.
The goal put Egypt 4-0 ahead just before half-time and although there are obviously question marks over the goalkeeping, it was still a superb strike from the Liverpool forward and fans will be hoping the goal will help Salah get back to his best form when he returns to Anfield next week.
