Team News: Tottenham Confirm Double Boost But Trio To Miss West Ham Clash
Tottenham have confirmed a double injury boost but three other players will miss the trip to West Ham United this weekend.
Premier League football returns this weekend and Tottenham will be looking to continue their good form with another positive result against West Ham on Saturday afternoon.
Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and the club have issued a full team news and injury update ahead of the game including the latest on the fitness of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Moussa Dembele, Danny Rose and Jan Vertonghen.
Let’s start with the good news and Spurs have confirmed that Eriksen is back in full training and available for selection after recovering from an abdomen injury that’s hampered the midfielder in recent weeks.
In a double boost for the north Londoners, Dembele is also back in contention to face West Ham after returning to training having overcome a thigh injury that’s kept him out of Tottenham’s recent matches.
However, Alli will miss the trip to the London Stadium this weekend as the midfielder is still nursing a hamstring injury that has kept him on the sidelines since September, but Pochettino has suggested the England international will be back in around 10 days time.
Rose will also sit out the West Ham clash on Saturday as he’s still working his way back from a groin problem but the Tottenham manager has revealed the left-back should be back in training next week.
The final update concerned Vertonghen and the Belgian international is obviously still unavailable as he’s continuing his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury that’s expected to keep him on the treatment table until December.

Tottenham head in to the weekend action sitting fifth in the table but with just two points separating them from top-of-the table Manchester City, Spurs can keep the pressure on their rivals with a win over West Ham on Saturday.
