Jurgen Klopp has been handed a huge boost as Adrian has been passed fit to start after recovering from a minor ankle injury that he sustained during a freak accident while celebrating Liverpool’s Super Cup win over Chelsea on Wednesday night.
Joel Matip keeps his place alongside Virgil van Dijk with Joe Gomez the man to drop out as Trent Alexander-Arnold comes back in at right-back. Any Robertson obviously keeps his place at left-back.
James Milner is preferred to Fabinho in midfield while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain keeps his place ahead of Jordan Henderson. Gini Wijnaldum makes-up the midfield three with Adam Lallana on the bench.
Roberto Firmino starts up front and is joined by Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane with Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri among the substitutes.
Southampton striker Danny Ings will start on the bench against his former side as Nathan Redmond starts up front.
