[Teams] Lille vs Chelsea: Confirmed line-ups for Champions League clash
Chelsea take on Lille in the group stages of the Champions League on Wednesday night. Here are the confirmed line-ups:
Chelsea are looking to get their first points on the board when they take on Lille in the group stages of the Champions League this evening.
Frank Lampard has been boosted by the news that N’Golo Kante has been passed fit to start after recovering from a knock that kept him out of action at the weekend. The Frenchman lines-up alongside Jorginho in the middle of the park this evening.
It appears Chelsea will deploy a 3-4-2-1 formation with Cesar Azpilicueta playing in the back three alongside Kurt Zouma and Fikayo Tomori meaning Andreas Christensen has to settle for a place on the bench.
Youngster Reece James gets a start in the right wing-back position while Marcos Alonso keeps his place on the left in the absence of Emerson Palmeiri. Mason Mount gets another start in attack after becoming an important part of the Chelsea side this season.
Willian is preferred to Pedro – who’s named on the bench – and Callum Hudson-Odoi but Christian Pulisic isn’t named in the match-day squad. Tammy Abraham leads the line up front with Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi among the substitutes.
Here are the confirmed line-ups:
