Premier League football returns after the international break as Chelsea welcome Newcastle United to Stamford Bridge this afternoon.
Frank Lampard is without N’Golo Kante as the midfielder has been ruled out with a muscle injury that he picked up while away with France last week while Andreas Christensen has also been ruled out with a thigh injury that he sustained while playing for Denmark.
Fikayo Tomori keeps his place alongside Kurt Zouma in the middle of the Chelsea back four with Marcos Alonso starting at left-back as Emerson Palmeiri continues to work his way back to full fitness from a thigh injury.
Cesar Azpilicueta retains his place at right-back with Reece James named on the bench while Jorginho is joined by Ross Barkley in midfield meaning Mateo Kovacic has to settle for a place on the bench after recovering from a knock.
Mason Mount once again starts for the Blues while Callum Hudson-Odoi keeps his place as the youngster joins Willian in supporting Tammy Abraham in the Chelsea attack this afternoon.
That means Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi must settle for places on the bench along with summer signing Christian Pulisic.
