Chelsea will look to secure a positive result when they take on Ajax in the Champions League group stages in Amsterdam this evening.
Frank Lampard makes just one change from the side that beat Newcastle United at the weekend with Mateo Kovacic coming in for the injured Ross Barkley – who was forced off with an ankle injury on Saturday.
Cesar Azpilicueta once again keeps his place at right-back so Reece James has to settle for a place among the substitutes while Marcos Alonso starts at left-back with Emerson Palmeiri back on the bench after recovering from a thigh problem.
Jorginho retains his place in the holding role and Mason Mount keeps his place in the Chelsea midfield. N’Golo Kante hasn’t travelled to Holland due to a groin injury that he picked up during the international break.
Fikayo Tomori keeps his place alongside Kurt Zouma in defence with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen missing through injury. Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi retains their spots in attack meaning Christian Pulisic must settle for a subs role this evening.
Tammy Abraham once again leads the line up front for Chelsea so Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuyai are on the bench.
