Arsenal will be looking to cement their place in the top four with a win over Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium this weekend. Here is a betting preview
Arsenal will be looking to cement their place in the top four with a win over Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.
The Gunners have enjoyed a superb run of form in recent months and broke into the top four with a 3-2 victory over Watford at Vicarage Road last Sunday afternoon. The win meant Arsenal have now taken 25 points from their last 10 Premier League games and head into the Leicester game sitting fourth in the table.
Fifth placed Manchester United are just a point behind but have played three games more, so Arsenal can tighten their grip on the final Champions League qualification place with a win over Leicester on Sunday.
The Foxes head to the capitol sitting 12th in the division off the back of two solid wins over Leeds Utd and Burnley. However, victory at the Emirates would move them up to ninth so Brendan Rodgers will be desperate to come away with a positive result.
Betting
This is one of the stand out fixtures of the English weekend schedule so there is expected to be plenty of interest being shown in the betting markets. Sportsbooks and las vegas online sports betting sites will be battling for your custom so it’s worth looking around for the best odds and welcome bonuses before placing any bets.
Understandably, Arsenal are the favourites with bookmakers pricing the North Londoners at around 1/2 to claim all three points. Leicester are currently priced at 9/2 but they are no strangers to being backed as underdogs in the big games, so won’t be affected by the betting markets expecting them to lose at the Emirates. If you fancy the points to be shared on Sunday, the draw is available at odds of 17/5.
Bukayo Saka has been in sensational form lately so he looks a tempting bet to open the scoring at odds of 15/2. If we combine that with a 2-1 Arsenal win then we can get excellent odds of 63/1.
Prediction
Arsenal could have a fully fit squad to choose from as Emile Smith Rowe [illness] and Takehiro Tomiyasu [calf] are expected to return to the squad, so they are in excellent shape right now. The Gunners are in terrific form and are developing one of the most exciting young attacks in the country.
The likes of Saka, Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard are forming a great understanding and they’ll be confident of continuing their superb form to see-off Leicester on home soil.
The Foxes have the potential to cause an upset and make life difficult for Arsenal, and they usually raise their game against the bigger clubs, but we expect the Gunners to edge this one 2-1 at the Emirates.
