INJURY UPDATE: Bad News For Liverpool As FOUR Players Ruled Out

Liverpool’s Danish centre-back, Daniel Agger, has been ruled out for the rest of the season after sustaining a knee tendon problem during last weekend’s clash against West Bromwich Albion.

The Red Merseysiders have suffered huge injury problems towards the end of the season and manager Kenny Dalglish confirmed Agger wont play again this season:

Daniel has a problem with the tendon behind his knee and won’t be involved again this season

Meanwhile, many have feared that Daniel Agger might be spending the remaining matches of the season sidelined alongside skipper Steven Gerrard. The Kop captain has been struggling to overcome a major groin problem and was forced to undergo a surgery on 11th March.

That wasn’t the end of Liverpool’s bad news after England right-back Glen Johnson is reported to be out of action for approximately one month. The 26-year-old picked up a hamstring injury during Liverpool’s recent trip to the Hawthorns.

Johnson’s fellow right-back, Martin Kelly, is also expected to be out for four weeks after suffering a recurrence of his hamstring injury. Both of them are likely to miss Liverpool’s next four league fixtures – the home match with Manchester City on Monday, the colossal encounter against the Gunners at The Emirates six days later and the home games against Birmingham City and Newcastle United, on the 23 April and 1 May respectively.
