I hope this is true because Coentrao is the best left back around at this moment.

Interesting move….if this is true that would be half of Liverpool’s summer budget blown on 1 player. Would there then be enough money to strengthen the more important areas of the team? I mean Coentrao is quality, but how many assists and goals or goals saved do you think he is worth to the team from left back – compared to say spending that money on a winger?

he can play left back or on the wing,good buy in that case. Quality not quantity

@TJ
We need a left back more then we need a left mid, although we really need a left mid badly, just proves how much we need a left back. I would spend the 25 on coentrao, and the other 25 on young and another young winger that would be around 25 million
50 mill total

25mil for Coentrao is peanuts! It leaves a further 25mil to strengthen in other areas. Remember that the sale of the deadwood at Liverpool will generate a further 20-30mil. Aqualaini will command a 13-16 mil fee, Cole 8-10mil, konchesky 2mil, Ngog 5 mil, poulsen 3 mil, jovanovic 5mil and insua 3-5. My calculations could be wrong but that gives Liverpool an extra 30mil+ to spend on reinforcements. Not to mention the calibre of young players breaking through.

I’ve just read today’s edition of Correio da Manha, nowhere in the article does it mention Liverpool, and it states, as it has for the past 2 days, that he is off to Real. Perhaps the editors need to do a little research first, ( i know its difficult seeing as you are a bunch of numpties) but it would save you all the time of cutting and pasting bogus articles
