Fergie Refusing To Lose Out To Arsene For Youngster
Manchester United and Arsenal are set to battle it out again for Southampton prospect Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Reports last week suggest Chamberlain favours a move to North London but Manchester Evening News reports that United chief Sir Alex Ferguson is loathed to loss out on a Southampton star for the third time.
Fergie was rumoured to be interested in Arsenal forward Theo Walcott who joined the Gunners for a reported fee of £12million back in 2006 and lost out to Spurs winger Gareth Bale who favoured Tottenham back in 2007.
Fergie was understood to be incensed when he thought Arsenal won the race to sign the 17-year old in January but a deal failed to materialise.
