TRANSFER NEWS: Arsenal, Liverpool & Man Utd Latest….

Arsenal Almost Certain of signing (another) teenager

According to a ‘Daily Mirror Exclusive’ Arsenal are set to complete the signing of long term transfer target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain….. for a hefty fee of 12 million pounds. The question now is, how did English youngsters become so expensive? First Henderson, then Jones, now Chamberlain, and I’m very sure that we’re going to see a huge move for Ipswich Town’s Connor Wickham very soon. Wow, world gone mad.

Apparently, Arsene Wenger is supposedly upset after losing two battles for English youngsters and he wants to sign Chamberlain quickly to ensure that he is not snatched away by Manchester United. Chamberlain is eager to go to Arsenal, apparently, here’s what his dad said last month:

VOdds

To develop at a place like Arsenal can’t be a bad thing. In my eyes, I’d like him to go there as soon as possible, and continue his development.

Chamberlain SNR claimed last month

Goodbye Kuszczak?

“Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has resigned himself to starting life at another Premier League club after making just seven appearances as Edwin Van Der Sar’s deputy last season and the Old Trafford club signing Atletico Madrid’s David de Gea.”

The Sun

I guess that’s just The Sun reiterating the obvious, with pretty much everyone except De Gea himself realizing the inevitability of this pending move to the Red Devils. I mean, just move already!

Liverpool Bid 5 million pounds for Clichy

Liverpool have launched a 5 million pound bid for Arsenal left back Gael Clichy. 20 million pounds for Henderson, 5 million pounds for Clichy? The maths must be wrong somewhere along the line, because I think that, as a Liverpool fan, this is a great deal for us should Arsenal be tempted to sell.

More Fabregas Gossip

MundoDeportivo.com claims that Wenger has told Fabregas:

“I will let you go to Barcelona or Real Madrid, but not to the Premier League.”

I’m very sure that he doesn’t want to go to the Premier League anyway. I personally think that there is only one place other than Arsenal he belongs, that’s Barcelona, and second point I’d like to make, I’m pretty sure NOONE (except Man City) will manage to buy him anyway.

The biggest thing I have heard is not transfers and have found it on quite a few sites and I quote – ‘a friend of my wife works at OT and has close connections and has heard overtures that the Glazers and AF have had a fall out over the budget, He wants twice as much and they are adamant it wont go higher, so certain people are out of reach, if it goes on much longer like this and if the word on the street is true AF is on the verge of quitting for good over the lack of Budget’

@FootieMan – if that’s true it would be the funniest thing I have heard in a long time (to compliment the funniest thing I have SEEN in a long time, the 2011 Champions League Final aka Barcelona’s final training match of the season!!).
