AGENT: Ozil Has No Interest In Old Trafford Switch
Mesut Ozil’s agent has ruled out a move to Premiership Champions Manchester United.
The German international has made an immediate impact in his debut season with Madrid, bagging 6 goals and assisting 17. The 22-year old was branded a bargain in modern day prices and was subject to £12million switch from German outfit Werder Bremen last summer after an impressive World Cup campaign.
In recent weeks Untied have been subject to intense speculation regarding the void left by the retiring Paul Scholes and Ozil is the latest star to be linked with a move to Old Trafford.
But sadly for Untied chief Sir Alex Ferguson, Ozil’s agent was quick to quash any speculation regarding his clients future, he said
“We thank Manchester United for their interest but Ozil is fine in Madrid and has no intention of leaving.”
This has left United still chasing either Tottenham’s Luka Modric or Inter Milan’s Wesley Sneijder. Both stars have hinted at a possible exit this summer with the Red Devils ready to pounce but will face stiff competition from Chelsea who have also been linked with both midfielders.
