Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Gervinho after the Lille General Manager revealed talks should be concluded next week.
Man City and Newcastle have both been linked with the 24-year-old, as well as PSG, but the player prefers a move to the Gunners and a £10.6m deal should be concluded next week.
Frederic Paquet, Lille’s General Manager, told Mercato365.com that talks are ongoing and ruled out a transfer to PSG as both the player and club would prefer a move to the Premier League:
“It should be next week,”
“These are negotiations that start slowly. Is it on track? I do not know. Today I can not tell.
“Could the player still leave for PSG? Gervinho wants to go to England and, as a club, we prefer to sell Gervinho abroad.”
