REPORTS: Villas-Boas To Launch Bid For Brazilian Defender
Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas is keen to rekindle a reunion with Inter Milan’s veteran defender Lucio, according to reports.
The pair worked together when Villas-Boas was assistant at Inter and the tactician is keen to bring the centre-half to Stamford Bridge. The 33-year old only has 12 months remaining on his current deal and has yet to receive a contract extension.
Reports in the media suggest that Chelsea will have to fight of interest from German giants Bayern Munich and French outfit Monaco to sign the defender. The Brazilian has been excellent for Inter since his switch from Bayern in 2009 and was instrumental to the side that won the treble in 2010.
