Coyle Admits: “There has been interest in Gary Cahill”
Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is keen to be as transparent as possible over speculation linking Gary Cahill with a move away from the club.
Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has admitted there has been interest shown in Gary Cahill and is keen to be as transparent as possible over speculation linking him with a move away from the club.
The former Aston Villa defender has been linked with a £17million move to Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal, but the Bolton boss confirms he has yet to recieve a firm bid for the centre-half.
“I don’t hide anything from anybody,” Bolton boss Owen Coyle told the Bolton News. “There has been interest in Gary Cahill.
“That’s all it has been. Clubs noting their interest, saying they know Gary is a good player, but there hasn’t been a concrete bid for Gary as such.
“From his point of view, he gets up every morning and reads another story, written with whatever their agenda is. But I have told him that as soon as I, or Phil Gartside, hear anything concrete then Gary and his representative will be the first to hear. I’m open and transparent about that. Nothing will be hidden from anyone.”
