TRANSFER NEWS: Chelsea Boost After Target Declares He’s On The Market
Sergio Aguero has again confirmed he will defiantly be leaving Atletico Madrid this summer.
Sergio Aguero has again confirmed he will defiantly be leaving Atletico Madrid this summer.
The Argentine star announced at the start of summer he wanted to leave Atletico for pastures new, with speculation linking him with a mega money move to local rivals Real Madrid.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is a huge admirer of the 23-year old and reportedly had a bid turned down in January for the player.
Manchester City have also been linked with the striker after fellow countryman and club captain Carlos Tevez confirmed he wanted to leave the Eastlands and Aguero has been touted as a possible replacement.
Despite claims last week from his father that his son could stay, Aguero insists he will be leaving this summer.
“I will not return to Atletico, it is clear,” he told ESPN.
“I talked to the club, gave a statement, now my representatives are negotiating my departure from the club.
“I don’t know when the agreement will be, but I will know when the Copa America is finished.”
