MICCICHE: “It’s Very Likely He Will Go To Chelsea”
Palermo vice-president Guglielmo Micciche claims Argentine star Javier Pastore is “very likely” to join Chelsea.
Palermo’s hierarchy have already claimed that three clubs were in the running for Pastore, they include Chelsea, Roma and Manchester City. The 22-year old is rated at around £40million and the Italian outfit appears keen to cash on their superstar:
“We are talking about a great player who, in my opinion, is extraordinary,” Micciche explained to Radio Sportiva.
“There is no doubt that he should be sold for several reasons. He wants a big club and negotiations are well advanced with a very important team.
“His agent is working well and if someone pays the right amount we are happy to let him go.
“It’s very likely he will go to Chelsea but I think there are many other clubs of that level looking at the boy.”
Reports had indicated that Chelsea would offer a fringe player plus cash for Pastore but Micciche was quick to dismiss the report.
“We don’t want any players in exchange, it would be impossible because it would mean taking players of a level that Palermo could not afford”.
