Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani insists he is happy to remain in Liverpool despite speculation he is set for a move back to Serie A.
The Italian spent last season on loan to Juventus but the two clubs was unable to agree a fee for the 27-year old. The former Roma ace has spent most of the summer being linked with a move to Fiorentina and AC Milan.
Aquilani feels wanted at Liverpool and would have no problem remaining at the club.
“All I can say is that there has been a lot of talk,” he said.
“I wasn’t following the Italian media much over the summer, but whatever happens I am at a great club like Liverpool.
“I’d love to make my mark at Liverpool. The transfer market is open until August 31, so we’ll see what happens.
“Obviously I would take the offer of a permanent move into consideration with Liverpool.”
