The Red Knights consortium has agreed the basic terms of a formal offer to buy Manchester United, according to Sky Sports News. It is thought that the Red Knights will meet again this week to continue the negotiations after terms were agreed at their latest strategy meeting.
The basic terms include what each Red Knight will receive for their investment but no date has been reached to mount a formal bid, although it is thought that the group will wait until at least June before making their move for Manchester United.
The Red Knight’s have also discussed the possibility of keeping the £500m bond raised by Manchester United supporters with potential investors, and they believe a credible bid will be put together and have not been put off by the Glazer’s insistence that the club is ‘not for sale’.
