Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina believes their squad will soon be challenging for the Premiership title once again.
Ahead of todays clash with Swansea at Anfield, the Reds lie sixth in the table after 10 matches but have shown vast improvement from the team of last season. Something echoed by the Spanish stopper, who believes his Liverpool side are now ready to push on and challenge for the Premier League title.
“We are a much better team than last season,” said the Spaniard.
“We have strength in the team and the squad and it has become competitive right now.
“It is just the first step we have to take in a long-term project.
“Things are improving but we want to be even better and at some point be champions of the Premier League again.”
