Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all monitoring Dijon midfielder Benjamin Corgnet, according to reports.
The Frenchman has been in impressive form for newly promoted Ligue 1 side Dijon, scoring 6 goals in 13 appearances so far this season. That form has not got un-noticed in England as Andre Villas-Boas, Kenny Dalglish and Sir Alex Ferguson have all been suitably impressed.
The Premiership trio have all sent scouts to watch the 24-year-old in action, and they recently saw Corgnet score during Dijon’s 2-0 win over Bordeaux. It’s been suggested in the French media that a fee of €7m would be enough to secure his signature and all three clubs are considering a January move.
Chelsea have struggled so far this season and may consider Corgnet as a cheaper alternative to Tottenhams Luka Modric, who the Blues failed to land int he summer. Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is keen to add more creativity to his midfield options following the frustrating injury problems faced by Steven Gerrard. United meanwhile are also on the lookout for an attack minded midfielder after missing out on both Modric and Nasri in the summer.
