Premier League outfit Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Dutch international midfielder with Kenny Dalglish thought to be keen to add to his midfield options this January due to the on-going injury concerns over captain Steven Gerrard.
The Reds may face competition from Italian giants Inter Milan, who have also been credited with interest, however Brands has denied the rumours as pure speculation insisting the player he only recently signed wont be leaving PSV any time soon:
“I honestly do not know anything.” He told calciomercato.
“And in any case, I do not see how there can be rumours about a player who arrived three months ago and signed a five-year deal.”
“Right now we are aiming to win the title and that is why we are not interested in any offers.”
