Berbendez – Ready To Fire United To Europa League Glory
It looks like Man Utd will be relying on 3rd & 4th choice strikers Dimitar Berbatov and Javier Hernandez to fire them to Europa League glory this season.

Manchester United have been known for having a variety of top class strikers in their teams and this current side is no different.
Looking at the current pecking order the top two strikers at the moment at Old Trafford are Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck. If United want to sustain a long and competitive run in Europa League, they will need to rotate their squad. Sir Alex knows he can’t play Rooney and Welbeck every Thursday night and having the likes of Berbatov and Chicharito on the bench waiting for their chance to impress is ideal.
I think the Berbendez combo will be great for Thursday nights. Berbatov doesn’t offer you the passing ability, off the ball movement, or great pace like Wayne Rooney does but Berbatov brings an elegance and sublime touch to the attack for United. Berbatov scores goals when he gets a run of games, scoring five in two matches during the festive week and playing the Bulgarian in Europa League games on Thursday nights will help him get in to some good form.
Now let’s look at United new super sub Javier Hernandez. He hasn’t had the best of seasons, but in his two matches against Ajax, Javier scored two goals. Danny Welbeck’s form this season has been the reason why the Mexican international has had limited time in the starting eleven, but he never fails to do his job when called upon and is always a goal threat.
The two boys that probably won United the title last season, are likely to see themselves starting on Thursday nights till May, but you never know at any time Javier or Dimitar could find themselves back into the starting eleven to help Manchester secure their 20th league title. If that doesn’t happen, Berbendez could fire themselves into Manchester United history by helping the Reds win the Europa League for the first time in their history.
