[Photo] Van Persie Watches Barca-Chelsea With Ronaldo – Luring Him To Arsenal?

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie watched Chelsea’s stunning 3-2 aggregate victory over Barcelona last night with Brazilian legend Ronaldo.

During the game, van Persie used his official Twitter account to tweet a picture (below) of him with the former Barcelona striker, as well as Arsenal team mates Andre Santos and Mikel Arteta, as they ate some food and watched the Blues pull off an unbelievable result to reach the Champions League final.

RVP with Ronaldo

It’s great to see the lads socialising like this. Sometimes in football you forget how important the off-the-field relationships are. Knowing that RVP gets on well with his team mates and goes out to eat with them should give us fans more confidence that he will stay at the club.

It’s also nice to see Andre Santos settling in well. He looks like he’s replacing Eboue as the club ‘joker’. He just seems to have that way about him, and every club needs characters like that.

Interesting that Ronaldo joined the Arsenal boys. Presumably Santos invited his compatriot along. Hopefully they weren’t trying to lure the 35-year-old out of retirement for a stint at the Emirates. He was a great player in his time and we could do with some striking reinforcements, but he wouldn’t last 2 minutes in the Premier League. Although, i’d probably take him over Chamakh!

Of course i’m joking, there was obviously nothing in the dinner other than friends watching the football and catching up, but you know how the media can be these days. Just look at the speculation that erupted after Van Persie went to see his friend at the Barca team hotel a couple of weeks ago.

I imagine they talked to each other fella. If you are alluding to language then not sure if Ronaldo speaks english but if not I imagine he speaks dutch as he layed for PSV so thats RVP sorted, being brazilian he speaks portuguese which is Santos sorted (as he is Brazilian too dont ya know) and he played for Real Madrid and Barca which I reckon cover off Spanish so Arteta was all gravy. If none of the above worked I’m sure a combination of grunts and head movements sufficed.

If chelsea wins the champions league on may19,and does not finish among the top four:the concomitant effect will be automatic entry to the champions league next season and the 4th place wil now play uefa.

Perhaps Guardiola has changed too many of the personnel at Barcalona – last season they ruled everything, now…..

As good as Fabregas is, has he added to the success of Barca, or will he once again end up wihout a championship medal?

Surely it is also a coincidence that Arsenal might finish in a higher position than they have done over the last few seasons.

Before anyone slates me, I am just pointing out a couple of facts – not stating an opinion.
