Arsenal Linked With Real Madrid Striker
Arsenal are interested in signing Real Madrid’s highly-rated striker Joselu and could make a move for the 22-year-old this summer, according to reports today.
The summer transfer window is open and Football Talk will bring you all the latest transfer news doing the rounds in the papers. Today, Arsenal are linked with a Real Madrid striker.
Arsenal are interested in signing Real Madrid’s highly-rated striker Joselu, according to talkSPORT.
The report claims that the Gunners have been tracking the 22-year-old in recent months, with Joselu impressing for Real Madrid’s B team in recent seasons, scoring 40 goals in 72 games.
Despite his prolific form for the B team, the German-born front-man has failed to make the expected step up to the first team and it seems he is now set for an exit from the Bernabeu this summer.
talkSPORT suggest that the Gunners could now step up their interest in the Spain under 21 international, as Arsene Wenger continues to reshuffle his attacking options ahead of next season.
FT Verdict
This transfer story from talkSPORT has very little substance, so I’d suggest an air of caution. At 22, Joselu must be thinking about a move soon after failing to make an impact on the first team in Madrid, but a move to Arsenal? I wouldn’t bet on it.
