Liverpool took control of their Europa League 3rd round qualifying game with a 1-0 away win over Gomel.
Stewart Downing hit a stunning winner as he cut in from the right hand side and crashed home a 25-yard effort to give Liverpool the lead mid-way through the second half. Neither side could add to the scoreline, and the Reds take a 1-0 advantage back to Anfield for the second leg.
