Arsenal finished second in Group B after throwing away a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 to Olympiakos on Tuesday night. The Gunners made a bright start and took a deserved lead when Gervinho set up Rosicky who cooly slotted home from 12 yards.
But the home side equalised in controversial circumstances when Olympiakos were awarded a corner even though replays showed Szczesny didn’t touch the ball. Maniatis finished from close range from the resulting corner to make it 1-1 before the turn-around was complete when sub Mitroglou fired home from the edge of the area.
