Huntelaar Agent Talks-up Inter Move
The agent of Arsenal and Liverpool target Klaas-Jan Huntelaar claims the striker is keen on joining Inter Milan with the Dutchman likely to move next month.
Despite the transfer window being closed, there is always transfer gossip doing the rounds in the papers and we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest news during the coming months. Today, more on the future of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
The agent of Arsenal and Liverpool target Klaas-Jan Huntelaar claims the striker is keen on joining Inter Milan, according to the Metro.
The Dutch hitman is out of contract in the summer and despite the German outfits best efforts, they have so far been unable to agree terms over a new deal.
The Metro claims Huntelaar is expected to leave Schalke when the transfer window re-opens in January and the reports suggests that Arsenal, Liverpool and Italian giants Inter Milan have all shown a huge interest in signing the 29-year-old. The former AC Milan striker’s agent, Arnold Oosterveer, has now hinted at a move to Inter saying his client would love to play in Milan again.
‘He would not mind playing in Milan again – especially because Inter would give him the chance to show he is a great player,’
Oosterveer is quoted as saying by the Metro
Huntelaar’s last spell in Italy wasn’t a huge success as he struggled to live up to the prolific goal-scoring reputation he earned while playing for Heerenveen and Ajax, as he hit just 7 goals in 30 games at the San Siro. However, he has revitalised his career after moving to Schalke in 2010 and has gone on to score 42 goals in 72 games for the Bundesliga club.
But the Metro believe he will be on his way next month if a bid of around £10m comes in with Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool thought to be among the interested parties.

I’d love to see the Dutchman come to England in the new year. He’s played in the Eredivisie, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga so far in his career so he needs to try his luck in the Premier League to complete the full set.
Will Arsenal and Liverpool follow-up their reported interest with firm bids? We’ll have to wait and see but let’s hope one of them can lure him to these shores as the Premiership will be a better place with Huntelaar in it.
