Sagna Injury Update: Bac Back To Face In-Form Bale

Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna is winning his fitness race to be fit in time to take on rivals Tottenham at White Hart Lane for what’s going to be a vital North London Derby on Sunday afternoon, according to the Daily Mail.
Sagna was forced to miss last weeks 2-1 win over Aston Villa after tweaking ligaments in his knee and had been considered a doubt for the weekends action. However, the Mail claim the 29-year-old is confident he’ll be fit in time to feature against Spurs.
Should he return, Sagna will be given the task of trying to contain the Premier League in-form player; Gareth Bale. The Welshman has been in stunning form of late, with 8 goals in his last 6 games, and capped another impressive display with a superb 30-yard winner against West Ham on Monday.
The win moved Tottenham up to third in the table and four points ahead of Arsenal going into the NLD, which promises to not only be another enthralling game but will go a long way to determining how the top four shapes up this season.
If Sagna misses out this weekend young Carl Jenkinson will be drafted in at right back. While the exuberance of youth brings its benefits, I’m sure Arsene Wenger would sooner have the experienced Frenchman trying to contain Bale rather than the inexperienced Jenkinson.
