Man Utd Have Bid Rejected For Italian Midfielder
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson wants to sign Italian midfielder Claudio Marchisio and has already had a bid rejected by his current club Juventus
Despite the transfer window being closed there is still plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Manchester United are linked with Claudio Marchisio.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is keen on signing Italian midfielder Claudio Marchisio and has already had a bid rejected by his current club Juventus, according to talkSPORT.
Marchisio has become one of the best all-round midfielders in Italy over the past two seasons. He scored 11 goals in 39 games last year and already has 7 to his name this campaign to help keep Juventus on course to retaining their Serie A title.
It seems his impressive form hasn’t gone unnoticed at Old Trafford with talkSPORT reporting that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to bring Marchisio to the Premier League this summer and has already had one offer for the midfielder knocked back by the Old Lady.
The report claims that Ferguson has been keeping an eye on the 27-year-old since 2010 but has opted to pursue other targets such as Wesley Sneijder, Samir Nasri and Eden Hazard during that time, but it appears the Scot has finally decided to make a move for the talented Italian international as he looks to add to his midfield options ahead of next season.
talkSPORT suggest Marchisio has previously declared he’d prefer a move to Germany if he ever leaves Serie A, but that may change if he’s offered a big-money move to United.

With Paul Scholes expected to retire at the end of the season it’s likely that United will be looking to bring in a replacement and I feel Marchisio could be an excellent signing. The major stumbling block may be persuaded Juventus into selling one of the heart-beats of their title-winning team.
