Chelsea have confirmed on Chelseafc.com that their vital clash with Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge has been re-scheduled for Wednesday May 8th, kick-off 7.45pm.
The game was originally due to be played on Sunday April 14th but had to be postponed due to Chelsea’s participation in the FA Cup semi final, which they lost 2-1 to Manchester City.
However, the game has now been re-arranged for Wednesday 8th May with the match being broadcast live on Sky Sports.
With Chelsea and Tottenham currently level on 58 points in the Premier League table and battling it out with Arsenal and Everton for a top-four finish, the clash at the Bridge is likely to prove pivotal in who qualifies for those all-important Champions League qualification places this season.
Spurs will head into the game of the back of a home fixture against Southampton on Saturday May 4th whereas Chelsea will face a potentially season-defining week as they face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday the 5th just three days before welcoming Spurs to Stamford Bridge.
