Chelsea Transfer News: Danish Starlet Linked – Defender Heading Back To Blues
Latest Chelsea transfer news: Blues linked with Ajax youngster and Jeffrey Bruma is heading back to Stamford Bridge after Hamburg rejected the chance to sign him
Despite the transfer window being closed there is still plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Chelsea are linked with a Danish starlet and Jeffrey Bruma is on his way back to Stamford Bridge.
Blues eye Fischer
First up and the Express are claiming that Chelsea have joined the race for highly-rated Ajax starlet Victor Fischer. The 18-year-old has emerged as one of the most promising talents in Holland after breaking into the Ajax first team this season.
Fischer has gone on to score 9 goals in 22 appearances so far this campaign, with his impressive form seeing him called up to the senior Danish squad after representing his country at every youth level.
The newspaper suggests Chelsea are keeping track of his progress this summer but will have to fight off a whole host of clubs if they decide to make an official approach to the Dutch outfit.
Bruma snub
Next and the Mirror are claiming that on loan Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma will return to Stamford Bridge this summer after Hamburg rejected the chance to sign him on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
Bruma has enjoyed two seasons on loan with Hamburg and the 21-year-old was hoping to secure a permanent move this summer. However, the Mirror suggest the Bundesliga outfit have made it clear they have no interest in signing him on a full-time basis and the defender will now return to west London to discuss his future with Chelsea officials.
The centre-back was once regarded as an up-and-coming talent in the Blues youth ranks after being snapped up by Feyenoord in 2007, but he failed to make the break-through after making just 9 first team appearances and his long-term future now remains unclear.
