Latest Tottenham transfer rumours. Today, Spurs have made a £5m bid for RNK Split striker Ante Rebic but may miss out on exciting Porto winger Christian Atsu.
With the summer transfer window set to re-open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Tottenham have made a £5m bid for Ante Rebic but may miss out on Porto’s Christian Atsu.
Rebic bid tabled
First up and the Daily Mail are reporting that Tottenham have submitted a £5m bid for RNK Split striker Ante Rebic. The 19-year-old has enjoyed his breakthrough season this campaign, forcing his way in to the Split first team and has gone on to score 10 goals in his 27 appearances.
His impressive form has attracted interest from all over Europe but the Mail claim Spurs are hot favourites to sign the talented Croatia U21 international with the player understood to be keen on moving to the Premier League this summer.
Rebic is predominantly a centre forward but can play anywhere across the frontline so would provide plenty of options to Andre Villas-Boas if he does end up making the move to White Hart Lane. However, the report suggests AVB is also looking to bring in a second, more experienced, striker to his squad this summer with Barcelona’s David Villa, Internacional’s Leandro Damiao and Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke his top targets.
Spurs miss out on Atsu?
Next up and talkSPORT are reporting that Tottenham could be set to miss out on Porto winger Christian Atsu with Benfica believed to be closing in on his signature.
Tottenham and Everton have been linked with a move for Atsu over the past two transfer windows, with Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas understood to be keen to link up with the 21-year-old again having managed him during his time in Portugual.
However, talkSPORT claim Benfica are now in pole position to sign the Ghana international and the Europa League finalists are expected to seal a deal for the exciting winger this summer.
