David Luiz Set For Shock Chelsea Exit?

David Luiz could be set for a shock move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona this summer with new in-coming boss Jose Mourinho not convinced about the Brazilian

With the summer transfer window set to re-open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, could David Luiz be set to leave Chelsea this summer?

David Luiz could be set for a shock move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona this summer with new in-coming boss Jose Mourinho not convinced about the Brazilian, according to the Daily Mail.

Luiz has become a real fan-favourite at Stamford Bridge since signing form Benfica in 2011 but his defensive capabilities have been called into question on several occasions over the last two years.

The 26-year-old reinvented himself in a defensive midfield role during the second half of last season but it appears he’s not done enough to persuade Mourinho, with the Mail claiming the Portuguese coach is contemplating selling Luiz and bringing in a new defender, defensive midfielder and striker when he returns to west London next month.

Luiz will not be short of options if indeed Chelsea look to sell with the newspaper suggesting Real Madrid could well be interested if they sell Pepe this summer while La Liga champions Barcelona have held a long-standing interest in the Brazilian international.

While Mourinho’s re-appointment as boss will be be met with jubilation among the Stamford Bridge faithful, I’m not sure selling Luiz is going to go down too well with the Chelsea supporters. Personally, I would be shocked if Luiz moved on this summer but stranger things have happened in football.

If Luiz leaves now, nothing makes sense. Buying Torres was a fluke, so was shev, Mutu and the russian striker, but selling Luiz is f”’in stupid….

I dont think that Mourinho will sell luiz for this if he does he will be hated. luiz is a man who need to be train the way the team want. the pass coaches do not know how to built up aa player. but i believe that mourinho can do that.

Morinho is a gud coach even though he talk too much but i think he should just train luiz in d way he like a defender 2 be, shal luiz sometimes causes errers bt selling him i don’t buy dat idea

if mourinho really wants to be known as the specail one then he should build luiz into his style of play…but letting go of my specail play luiz then we do not need mourinho back in our team…

Jose, named special one!!! A good coach but also a good and Biggggg TROUBE MAKE… He’s now started his bad behavior, is it Terry who know how to defend than Luiz? Go away Jose, wit your stupid idea. Luiz is loved by 85 % of Chelsea fans and supporters. So Jose, called Special One or whatever it doesn’t your career at can’t be RUIN by FC Chelsea fans and supporters. Just try to ask Rafa Benix, how he was rubbished by the fans. Plz don’t be involve in Luiz transfer, what you have already said is enough plz! Luiz you are a Chelsea king for ever!!! You will be in Chelsea until your end of football! Luv you Luiz!!!
