Transfer News: Spurs ‘Only Contenders’ For Brazilian, Liverpool Make Dzsudzsak Approach
Latest transfer news. Today, Spurs are said to be the only club in the running for Bernard while Liverpool have made an approach for winger Balazs Dzsudzsak.
With the summer transfer window set to open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Tottenham are understood to be the only club in the running for Bernard while Liverpool are said to have made an approach for Balazs Dzsudzsak.
Spurs only club in for Bernard
First up and the Mirror are reporting that the agent of Brazilian starlet Bernard has revealed Tottenham are now the only club left in the running for the Atletico Mineiro attacker.
The newspaper claims that Spurs sent their scouts to watch the highly-rated youngster during Brazil’s Confederations Cup clash with Japan on Saturday but he failed to make it off the bench as the Samba stars ran out 3-0 winners.
The report suggests boss Andre Villas-Boas is keen on luring the 20-year-old to White Hart Lane this summer and the players agent, Hissa Moyses, has confirmed that the north Londoners are now the ‘only contenders’ for his signature after Borussia Dortmund failed to submit a proposal.
“Dortmund have not submitted a proposal and Tottenham are the only contenders.” Moyses is quoted as saying by the Mirror.
Bernard has netted 17 goals in 84 appearances for Atletico since breaking into the first team and he would give Villas-Boas plenty of options in attack if he was to seal a move to WHL, with the versatile attacker able to play anywhere in the attacking midfield positions. Watch this space…
Reds in for Dzsudzsak
Next up and the Mirror are also carrying quotes from the agent of Balazs Dzsudzsak who claims Liverpool have made an approach for the Dynamo Moscow winger.
The highly-rated Hungarian international only moved to Dynamo from Anzhi Makhachkala in January 2012 in a €19m deal but that doesn’t appear to have stopped Liverpool making an enquiry for his services this summer.
The 26-year-old’s agent, Jozef Vorosbaranyi, has revealed that the Reds and Italian outfit Inter Milan are among the clubs who have made an approach for Dzsudzsak but claims nothing concrete is in the pipeline just yet.
“Numerous clubs made an approach including Internazionale and Liverpool, but I can’t say more concrete things,”
“Balazs didn’t ask the club to let him go because he feels good at the team and has a good partnership with coach Dan Petrescu. But anything can happen.” Vorosbaranyi is quoted as saying by the Mirror.
Dzsudzsak scored 5 goals and provided 10 assists in 27 games last season and the Mirror claim he’s now valued at around €12m by his current club. With Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers seemingly keen on making his signings early this summer following the capture of Iago Aspas from Celta Vigo and the impending arrival of Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Shakhtar Donetsk, you wouldn’t bet against the Reds boss bringing Dzsudzsak to Anfield in the coming weeks as well.
