Tottenham Confirm AVB Leaves Club By ‘Mutual Consent’
Tottenham Hotpsur have confirmed this morning that Andre Villas-Boas has left the club by ‘mutual consent’.
The Portuguese coach came under intense pressure following Tottenham’s 5-0 thrashing by Liverpool at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon to leave the club sitting seventh in the Premier League table.
After the game, AVB told reports he wasn’t going to quit but it appears an agreement has been reached between him and chairman Daniel Levy following talks this morning.
The north Londoners released the following statement on TottenhamHotspur.com:
The Club can announce that agreement has been reached with Head Coach, Andre Villas-Boas, for the termination of his services. The decision was by mutual consent and in the interests of all parties.
