Brendan Rodgers has no fresh injury worries to contend with and the big fitness concern remains Daniel Sturridge. The striker only returned to training on Saturday after being rushed back early from a hamstring injury to take part in last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.
Rodgers is willing to give Sturridge until the final minute to prove his fitness and we can see the 24-year-old returning to the starting line-up for this crucial clash. Jordan Henderson is still suspended so Joe Allen is likely to get the nod over Lucas Leiva to start alongside Steven Gerrard in midfield.
With Liverpool almost certainly going to need victory in this game to have a chance of clinching the title, Rodgers is likely to go on the offensive and start both Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling away from home in support of Luis Suarez up front.
