Champions Manchester City begin the defence of their Premier League title away to Newcastle United at St James’ Park and Manuel Pellegrini will be desperate to get off to a positive start.

Arsenal will entertain Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium and Arsene Wenger will know he’s in for a tough start after Tony Pulis led Palace to an excellent second half to last season.

Liverpool are also at home as they welcome Southampton to Anfield, while Tottenham Hotspur kick off the new season away to bogey side West Ham and Chelsea will take on newly-promoted Burnley away.

Louis van Gaal will be pleased to have been handed a home fixture in his first game as Manchester United boss as the Red Devils take on Swansea City at Old Trafford.

Championship winners Leicester City will play Everton at home, while Queens Park Rangers will face Hull City at Loftus Road.
