Sanchez To Seal €38m Arsenal Move ‘Within Hours’ After Agent Agrees 4-Year Deal
Arsenal are on the verge of securing a €38m deal to sign Alexis Sanchez ahead of Liverpool after the players agent agreed terms on a 4-year contract in London
The summer transfer window is now open for business and it’s expected to be a busy few weeks as managers strengthen their squads ahead of next season, so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip. Today, Arsenal are on the verge of signing Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal are on the verge of securing a stunning €38m deal to sign Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez ahead of Liverpool and Juventus after the players agent agreed terms on a four-year contract in London today, according to widespread reports in Spain.
Spanish media outlet SPORT are claiming this evening that Barcelona gave permission to Sanchez’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, to hold formal talks with Arsenal officials in London this afternoon to finalise contract details after the Gunners agreed a deal worth €38m (£30m) for the attacker.
The report states that Felicevich agreed terms over a four-year deal worth €6m per season, and the transfer is now expected to be officially concluded ‘within hours’ ahead of a medical examination.
Another well-known Spanish paper, Mundo Deportivo, are also carrying a very similar report while Sky Sports News have announced that their sources also indicate Sanchez is on his way to the Emirates for £30m after snubbing the advances of both Liverpool and Juventus.
With so many outlets reporting such similar information it certainly looks like Arsene Wenger is about to pull off a major coup by luring Sanchez to north London.
The Chilean attacker has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe after it became apparent Barcleona were willing to let him leave this summer to help raise funds for the signing of Luis Suarez.
While the likes of Liverpool and Juventus were showing strong interest are held talks with the 25-year-old’s agent, the player appears to have chosen the Emirates as his next destination and barring any major late hiccups, he should be an Arsenal player shortly.
The signing will obviously go down extremely well among the Gooner fanbase as some have become frustrated at the lack of activity during the early stages of the summer transfer window. But the signing of Sanchez will surely appease those disgruntled supporters as he will add some real depth to the clubs attack next season.
