Liverpool & Man Utd Told To Act Fast To Sign €53m Superstar
Man Utd and Liverpool have been told they must act fast if they want to stand a chance of signing €50m-rated Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal this summer.
The summer transfer window is now open for business and it’s expected to be a busy few weeks as managers strengthen their squads ahead of next season, so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip. Today, Liverpool and Man Utd must act fast if they want to land Arturo Vidal.
Manchester United and Liverpool have been told they must act fast if they want to stand a chance of signing Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal this summer, according to reports in Italy.
The Premier League duo have been strongly linked with moves for the Chilean international this summer, with reports earlier this month suggesting they were lining-up €53m bids for the powerful midfielder.
United in particular have been showing a keen interest in bringing the 27-year-old to Old Trafford over the past few months but have so far not made any official attempt to lure him away from Turin.
However, Italian newspaper TuttoSport are reporting today that Juventus have told the likes of United and Liverpool that they must have agreed a fee by next Saturday for any potential deal to go through.
Juve head out to Asia on their pre-season tour on Sunday 3rd August and it’s understood they have made it clear that Vidal’s future has to be resolved one way or the other before that date, so if no deal has been agreed with potential suitors by that deadline, then we should expect the midfielder to be staying put this summer.
Vidal has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in world football after an excellent three years at Juventus, with his 28 goals in 95 appearances helping the club land three successive Serie A titles.
New United boss Louis van Gaal is understood to still be on the look-out for a top class midfielder to play alongside Ander Herrera next season and Vidal would be superb addition to the Dutchman’s new-look side at Old Trafford if they could pull it off.
Brendan Rodgers has been extremely busy in the market already this summer but is still keen to add a ‘marquee’ name to his squad and it would be a seen as a major coup if the Northern Irishman could beat Liverpool’s fierce rivals to Vidal’s signature.

However, it looks like both clubs are going to have to step up their interest pretty quickly if they want to stand a chance of getting a deal agreed with Juventus before their ‘deadline’, and rumoured bids of €53m (£42m) could prove to be too tempting for the Italians to turn down if they were formally placed on the table.
