Player Already In Manchester Ahead Of €19m Man Utd Move
Daley Blind is already in Manchester looking for houses as he prepares to complete his proposed €19m move to Manchester United from Ajax, according to reports.
The summer transfer window is now well under way and managers are working hard to strengthen their squads ahead of next season, so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip. Today, Daley Blind is house-hunting ahead of his move to Manchester United.
Daley Blind is already in Manchester looking for houses as he prepares to complete his proposed €19m move to Manchester United from Ajax, according to reports.
The 24-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer with reports earlier this week suggesting that talks between United and Ajax were well underway.
Blind responded to the speculation by talking up a move, saying he would find it difficult to turn down the likes of Man Utd or Barcelona if they came calling, but insisted that no official offers were on the table as yet.
“Of course, it’s flattering when you’re linked with clubs like Manchester United and Barcelona,” Blind told Goal.
“It would be very hard to turn down these kind of clubs. But there’s no serious interest as of yet.
“There are plenty of players who promise to stay and then leave after all. I am keeping my options open. I am very happy in Amsterdam and at Ajax, but you never know what could happen.” Blind was quoted as saying by the Evening Standard.
Now, the Evening Standard are reporting that Blind is already in Manchester looking at houses, which is a clear sign that he’s preparing for life in the North West.
The Dutch international can play at left-back, defensive midfield or even as a left-sided centre-back in a back three, so he’d give Louis van Gaal plenty of options if he does end up making the move to United.
Reports suggest that the deal should be completed in the coming days for a fee in the region of €19m (£15m), which is more than reasonable for a player of Blind’s ability and potential in today’s over-inflated market.

Van Gaal has been relatively quiet so far this summer with just two major signings coming in, but you’d expect the experienced Dutchman to ramp up his transfer dealings during the final few days of the window as he tries to re-shape a squad that finished seventh last season, and it looks like Blind could be his next big-money addition.
