Chelsea kick start their Champions League campaign when they take on Schalke at Stamford Bridge in their Group G opener tonight.
The Blues head into the game full of confidence having made an excellent start to the Premier League season with Jose Mourinho’s men currently sitting top of the table following four wins from their opening four games.
Schalke on the other hand have began their domestic campaign poorly, picking up just one point from their opening three fixtures, so the Germans are going to have to improve if they want to take away a positive result tonight.
Jose Mourinho has decided to rest in-form striker Diego Costa for the game with Didier Drogba starting up front in his place. Filipe Luis also comes in at left-back while Ramires and Willian start in place of Oscar and Andre Schurrle.
Here are the confirmed line-ups for the game:
Chelsea
Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Luis, Matic, Fabregas, Ramires, Willian, Hazard, Drogba
Subs: Cech, Zouma, Azpilicueta, Oscar, Mikel, Remy, Diego Costa.
Schalke
Fährmann, Höger, Ayhan, Neustädter, Fuchs – Boateng, Aogo – Sam, Meyer, Draxler – Huntelaar
