[Video] Skrtel And Costa Involved In Off The Ball Clashes As Slovakia Stun Spain

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel and Chelsea forward Diego Costa came up against each other on Thursday night as Slovakia hosted Spain in their Euro 2016 qualifier.

Both players are known for their physical approach so it will come as no surprise that they were involved in a few off the ball clashes throughout the course of the game.

First the Liverpool centre-back appeared to give Costa a cheeky kick as he jogged past but it wasn’t long before the Chelsea striker got his own back as he gave Skrtel a full blown shoulder barge.

The duo were spoken to by the referee but Skrtel had the last laugh as he skippered the Slovakian’s to a shock 2-1 win over the former World Champions.

It will be interesting to see the duo come face-to-face again when Chelsea host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on November 8th.
