Arsenal Squad Assessment: Who Stays, Who Goes & Who Gets Promoted
Now that another disappointing campaign is over, the silly season is upon us. But before we move on to who we should buy and which areas of the team need to be strengthened, I personally feel our beloved team is in serious need of some good old fashioned housekeeping.
Below I have compiled a list of players currently at the club and split them in to four categories: players fit for the starting 11; squad players who are on the fringe of things or have fallen out of the starting 11 thanks to indifferent performances; youth players who should be promoted to the first team squad; and players that I feel are a spent force and should be shipped off to Europe or the lower leagues.

- 4. Fabregas
- 5. Vermaelen
- 8. Nasri
- 10. Van Persie
- 19. Wilshere

- M. Watt
- F. Afobe
- F. E-Thomas

- 52. Bendtner
I know many of you will not agree with my assessment, so here is your chance to alter things. However there are a few caveats which must be observed, these are noted below.
1. Players from the starting 11 can be moved to the squad player list.
2. Squad players can be moved either to the starting 11 or to the transfer column.
3. The youth players (made up of players that have been out on loan or have had some first team action this season) can be moved to the squad players list or to the transfer list.
4. The transfer list is immovable, as none of these players (in my view) add value to the squad or have already asked for a move.
Have fun fellow Gooners.
