Arsenal To Put Tottenham Back In Their Place!

Written by The Arsenal Kid.

So the distraction of a midweek international friendly is over and we go back to business in the English Premier League. Next up for the Gunners, a clash with our perennial and most hated of adversaries, Tottenham Hotspur.

As with previous editions of the North London derby, this one is going to be a fire-cracker. Ever since the defeat to the Scums last April at White Hart Lane, we have been looking forward to putting them back in their place. Just because they beat us one miserable time and qualify for the Champions League, the Scums suddenly think that they have bragging rights to be the best in North London. Well, you just have to look at the current league table to realize how dumb the other side is.

No doubt they have improved as a team (considering the amount of money they spent, I would expect more than what they are currently doing if I were the owner) but inconsistent displays will ensure that they will again challenge for the final Champions League spot but no further. The Gunners however, are just two points of the top and a win in this fixture will see us overtake Chelsea, at least until they play later in the day.

Last year we gave them a 3-0 roasting at the Emirates off a man of the match performance from Cesc. This year, he has not performed that well but this is the kind of game that needs his leadership and brilliance which I have no doubt he will deliver. We will probably not have Wilshere for this game after he pulled out of the England squad through injury. The same might be said for Arshavin and Rosicky who return to the team carrying slight knocks from their international excursions. Koscielny returns from his two match ban but it remains to be seen if he can reclaim his place in the center of defence.

The Scums have injury problems of their own with Tom Huddlestone joining the long-term injury list. The England midfielder will miss up to two months of league action after his ankle surgery. He joins Jermaine O’Hara, Michael Dawson, Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate on the sidelines. Jermaine Defoe is back in training but he won’t be ready for this match. This match will also bring William Gallas back to the Emirates for the first time since he left on a free transfer in the summer

For the past few years, the North London derby has either gone to the home side or the match is drawn. I don’t see a drawn match this time around and I am sure we will thump the Scums just like we did over a month ago in the Carling Cup.

Haha, you sound as deluded as us!! You won’t get nowhere near the top of the table, by feb as always you will out of the title race. Were a club on the up, I don’t think any spurs fan is saying were the top team in north London, but the gap is much smaller now, our record against you under Harry is very respectable and tomorrow will be a good game. What’s funny is all arsenal fans are getting worried. Silly articles like this are pooping up everywhere doing there best to put spurs down as meaningless which means were doing something right. The cockiness and arrogance is gonna back fire cos we wont lose tomorrow, I know it, my mind says draw but my heart says spurs win but only my arsehole is saying arsenal win but that’s full if shit anyway. I’d keep these silly articles til after the game cos your building yourself up for a BIG fall! F*ck off you cheating scum c*nts, COYS

Terrible article, biased trash! Arsenal Beat spurs in the cc because spurs fielded a weak side and arsenal fielded a strong one! I believe spurs had 4 players making there. debuts. Unfortunately for spurs this time around they will also be understrength and arsenal nearly full strength. Spurs problems with inconsistancy this season is not down to champions league footy. Its down to terrible long term injuries of many key players all at the same time. King, woody, dawson, corluka, lennon, huddlestone, keane, defoe, o hara have all been long term add to that players like gio, bentley, jenas, gallas, palacios, pav being injured at key times and vdvs dodgy groin and you can see the problems! Tell me a club that wouldn’t struggle with that many players out!! I do hope spurs stick one over on arsenal tommorrow as your fans are some of the most biased stuck up delusional people in world football!!

Ha, isn’t it funny how for the last 3 years when Arsenal have been hit by up to 12 injured players every week we were told to stop moaning and how it’s all about squad strength these days. Now the spuds get a few injuries and we’re supposed to hav sympathy?! Please, do me a favour!

If there is one club that knows about injuries it’s Arsenal!

And deluded? Are u being serious?!

        Well said Fab!

Arsenal have been decimated by injuries for the last 3 years but we get no sympathy from anyone.

So I’ll say to Spurs fans what everyone has said to Arsenal – if you want to be at the top, you need class on the bench as well as the pitch and we all know Spurs haven’t, although you will have Aaron ‘poor man’s Theo Walcott’ Lennon back so at least you’ll have some pace.

Spurs fans need to get real!
