Tottenham Hotspur will look to make it three wins on the spin when they entertain Stoke City at White Hart Lane on Sunday. Here is the team we think Mauricio Pochettino will select:
Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris is expected to be recalled having been rested in midweek with Michel Vorm dropping back to the bench.
Defence: Pochettino is also set to make changes at the back with Younes Kaboul, Danny Rose and Kyle Naughton all likely to come back in with Ben Davies, Federico Fazio and Eric Dier making way after their run-out on Thursday night.
Midfield: Etienne Capoue and Ryan Mason were given breathers last night so I’d expect both to be recalled as they have been Pochettino’s preferred pairing in the league of late. Moussa Dembele and Benjamin Stambouli will drop out.
Attack: Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela should both keep their places but I’d expect Nacer Chadli to be recalled to the starting eleven. The big question is whether Emmanuel Adebayor will return up front or if Pochettino sticks with the in-form Harry Kane. There has been huge support from the Spurs fans for Kane to be given a rare start in the league after scoring winners in his last two games but we’ll have to see if the boss agrees or sticks with the miss-firing Adebayor.
So here is the side we think Pochettino will select:
What do you think of the team? Would you start Kane or Adebayor?
