[Tweets] Rooney, Mata, De Gea & More: Utd Boys Buzz On Twitter After Liverpool Win
Several Manchester United players have been celebrating on Twitter after the Red Devils impressive 3-0 win over arch rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford.
Manchester United beat Liverpool 3-0 at Old Trafford this afternoon to pull clear in third spot in the Premier League table.
United opened the scoring when Wayne Rooney swept home Antonio Valencia’s cross in the 12th minute before making it 2-0 in controversial circumstances just before half time as Juan Mata headed home from close range, but replays showed the Spaniard was offside following a slight touch from Robin van Persie.
Mata then unselfishly teed-up van Persie to slot home the third in the 71st minute to secure the three points and make it six wins from six games to see United move to within five points of second-placed Man City.
With United in such good form, it’s no wonder the players were celebrating on Twitter after the game as Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Ashley Young, Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney, Ander Herrera and David De Gea all buzzing after a huge win over their rivals.
