Crystal Palace came from a goal down to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Selhurst Park on Saturday night.
After a goalless first half, Spurs opened the scoring shortly after the break when Harry Kane did well to get the ball out of his feet and fire into the bottom corner from the edge of the area.
However, Palace came storming back and were awarded a penalty when Benjamin Stambouli fouled Joe Ledley in the box – Dwight Gayle made no mistake from the spot to make it 1-1 with 20 minutes remaining.
The hosts then took the lead when Wilfred Zaha did well to get past Kyle Walker down the left-wing before teeing up Jason Puncheon who fired home from 18 yards to make it 2-1.
Spurs pushed for a late equaliser but Palace held on to make it a happy first Premier League game in charge for Alan Pardew.
